In the lead up to COP26 TNEI staff will take part in a STEP-tacular challenge which will not only keep them fit and active but support the World Land Trust which has been saving tropical forests and other critically threatened habitats since 1989.
- Madrid to Glasgow

- 30 people
- 1 team
- 4 months
The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1 – 12 November 2021. The last COP conference to take place was COP25 in Madrid. We have challenged 20 of our TNEI staff to swap their suits for boots and their power systems studies for pedals to collectively clock up the 1,490 miles from Madrid to Glasgow by foot, bike, SUP or any other emission-free/carbon-neutral way of getting around in the lead up to COP26!
Miles will be tracked on our TNEI Race to COP26 club in the Strava app and we will provide regular updates with our progress.
1,490 miles? That’s easy!
We reckon this journey can be done several times before COP26 takes place in November and TNEI has pledged to buy 5 acres with the World Land Trust each time the 1,490-mile journey is completed.
Each acre of threatened habitat purchased will be protected for wildlife in perpetuity–saving endangered species from extinction, tackling climate change and safeguarding some of the world’s last remaining wilderness.
How can I get involved?
We are challenging other companies to get involved for some friendly competition! If you would like to enter a team (of up to 30 people) please get in touch!
